  • Metal Rogue Trader Imperial Army Lieutenant Olsen

This Imperial Guard (or Imperial Army) Lieutenant was sculpted by Aly Morrison in 1987 for the Rogue Trader era of Warhammer 40K.

  • Metal Chaos Familiar – Jaw – Warhammer Fantasy Battle

This guy is a Jes Goodwin sculpt and goes by “Jaw”. He’s part number 073128-52D and is a 1987 sculpt. The 1991 Red catalogue has it as part number 073128/52D.

  • Metal Rogue Trader Space Goblin – First Rogue Trader Release

This guy dates back to the original Rogue Trader miniatures and I don’t have a sculptor listed for him. He’s a 1987 sculpt.

You can see him in White Dwarf #91:

    Here he is partially done.

  • Metal Rogue Trader Space Elf or Eldar Standard Bearer Menhe Worldsong

This guy was part of the RT402 Space Elf Command range and went by Menhe Worldsong. He’s a 1987 Jes Goodwin sculpt.

In the later catalogues he’s part number 071519/29.

Another copy, with the angel standard (071519/26):

One of the optional standards – the angel standard (071519/39):

    And the dragon standard:

  • Metal Rogue Trader Squat or Space Dwarf Mauser Von Dreyse

This guy is a 1987 sculpt by Michael or Alan Perry for the Rogue Trader era of Warhammer 40K. He’s one of the Space Dwarfs / Squats.

Like the rest of the RT301 Space Dwarf range, he has a gun related name – Mauser was/is a German arms manufacturer.

  • Metal Rogue Trader Squat or Space Dwarf Waltha Twelvebore

This guy is credited to Michael and Alan Perry. He’s a 1987 sculpt for Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader.

  • Metal Rogue Trader Squat Standard Bearer Garand Steyr

This guy was a 1987 sculpt for the Rogue Trader edition of Warhammer 40K. He’s credited to Michael and Alan Perry.

His name seems to be a reference to Steyr Arms, an Austrian arms manufacturer.

  • Rogue Trader Squat Mole Mortar and Operator Warhammer 40K Metal

This was part of the RTB3 Devastators box set and also sold separately. Designed by Michael and Alan Perry.

    As seen in WD99:

  • Imperial Guard Tarantula and Operator

This is the Imperial Army Tarantula and operator, featured in the RTB3 Devastator set as well as being sold separately. The 1991 catalogue credits the entire page to Michael and Alan Perry with Norman Swales, and I’m not sure which was responsible for this particular sculpt yet.

You can just make out “SNAP OFF” on the tab.

    As seen in WD99:

  • Old World Jack Warhammer 40K Rogue Trader Metal

I was expecting this guy to have a backpack bump on his back but he doesn’t; and it doesn’t look like one was cut off either!

He’s a Bob Naismith sculpt from 1987 and was from the RT7 Mercenary line.

    Painted:

    • Undercoat: Vallejo Mecha Black
    • Orange: Kimera’s Orange, shaded by mixing in Kimera’s Ultramarine, highlighted by mixing in Kimera’s Cold Yellow
    • Black/Grey: Kimera’s Carbon Black, highlighted by mixing in Kimera’s The White
    • Metal: Scale75 Black Metal, followed by Cobalt Alchemy, followed by a highlight of Speed Metal, followed by a wash of gloss Nuln Oil
    • Blue: Kimera’s Phthalo Blue Red Shade, highlighted by mixing in Ultramarine and The White
    • Yellow: Kimera’s The White followed by Cold Yellow
    • Scar: Kimera’s Magenta
    • Skin: Kimera’s The White followed by Scale75’s Pale Skin, then a mix of the two for highlights, and Kimera’s Oxide Brown Medium and Oxide Brown Dark for shading. A little bit of Red Oxide mixed in to Pale Skin for blushed areas.
    • Leather: Kimera’s Oxide Brown Medium or Royal Brown as the base, shaded by mixing in Ultramarine with Royal Brown, highlighted by mixing in Cold Yellow.
    • Base: Kimera’s Red Oxide, followed by Scale75’s Reddish Brown pigment, then Natural Soil, and a little bit of Sand pigment on the rocks. Wild Tuft is the front one and the back I don’t recall – maybe AK? Base rim is Vallejo Black Grey.
