  • Imperial Army Casualty – Rogue Trader

This guy appears as Casualty or Wounded in the Rogue Trader-era Imperial Army or Imperial Guard catalogues. There wasn’t a tab on this guy! I also don’t have a specific sculpting credit for him, so if you can point me to where the credit is printed drop me a line.

  • Trooper Bruce – Rogue Trader Army

This is Trooper Bruce, from the Rogue Trader-era Imperial Army or Imperial Guard. He’s a 1987 sculpt, though I don’t know who sculpted him. He has “ARMY” on the front and 1987 on the back of his tab.

He took a bath in some paint stripper and not just isopropyl alcohol and cleaned up a bit more:

  • Trooper Thomson – Imperial Army RT

This is Trooper Thomson from the Rogue Trader era of Imperial Army/Imperial Guard miniatures. I don’t have a specific sculptor for him. He was sculpted in metal and has “ARMY” on the front and 1987 on the back. Unlike many of his peers, he’s armed with a boltgun!

If anyone knows who sculpted him let me know!

  • Worldburner – Rogue Trader Mercenary

This metal Rogue Trader Mercenary went by “Worldburner” in the catalogues of the time. He’s a Bob Naismith sculpt.

The flash on this guy is a little non-Citadel looking – perhaps a recast, but you never know. The detail isn’t too muddy.

  • Sarge Rockhard – Rogue Trader Mercenary

This Rogue Trader Mercenary was in the catalogues as “Sarge” Rockhard, and was sculpted by Bob Naismith.

  • Field Officer Niven – Imperial Army Rogue Trader Warhammer 40K

This is Field Officer Niven, from the Imperial Army in the Rogue Trader era of Warhammer 40K.

I can’t find a single sculpting credit for him – the page he’s on features work from Aly Morrison along with Michael and Alan Perry.

  • Trooper Davey – Rogue Trader Imperial Army

This is Trooper Davey, who was a sculpt for the Imperial Army (later Imperial Guard) in the Rogue Trader era of Warhammer 40K.

I can’t find an individual sculpting credit for him – the page he’s on features work from Aly Morrison and Michael and Alan Perry.

  • Imperial Heavy Infantry or Space-Dout Sam – Original Rogue Trader release

This Imperial Heavy Infantry is a Bob Naismith sculpt from the earliest Rogue Trader releases. He’s also shown in the later Mercenaries range as “Space-Dout Sam”.

  • Sergeant Hikks – Rogue Trader Imperial Army

This 1987 Aly Morrison sculpt (someone had been watching Alien… Trooper Vaskez also features in this range) is for the Imperial Army in the Rogue Trader era.

  • Imperial Heavy Trooper – First Rogue Trader Releases

Imperial Heavy Trooper – First Rogue Trader Releases

This was one of the first Rogue Trader releases and is down as an Imperial Heavy Trooper. He’s a Bob Naismith sculpt, and shares the same basic sculpt as the Imperial Heavy Infantry.

For something different, I tried painting using four paint pots in four hours – so I picked a Zorn palette:

    • Red: Kimera’s The Red
    • Yellow: Kimera’s Cold Yellow
    • White: Kimera’s The White
    • Black: Kimera’s Carbon Black

In the end it probably wasn’t the best mini choice for testing out that colour scheme and trying to use such a limited palette; I don’t think my NMM skills are sufficient to get enough separation from the grey uniform with so few colours!
